Camping at Burot Beach Calatagan Batangas

This is the most breathtaking photograph that I have taken so far using only my phone. I took this during our camping at Burot Beach Calatagan Batangas right after our hiking at Mt. Talamitam in Nasugbu. There were a lot of firsts for me that weekend. To give you a glimpse, I listed five! Read on!

1. Hiking and Camping. I'm a loser (I know) for not even trying hiking and camping during my teenage years. I am not sure if it's because my mom is too protective or I'm just lazy as fuck. I swear I love outdoor activities like swimming and running. Maybe I was just too preoccupied with the "online era" during my youth. So if you're in your early 20's or teenage years, I encourage you to try hiking and camping while your body is still capable of it. The internet is accessible, heck you can be online in Facebook when you're in your 50s!

2. Sleeping on a Tent. I honestly had a great night's sleep in this little tent of Khat. It was barely a meter wide, but me and Riza fit in it perfectly. It was actually cozy if you may ask..


3. Wearing a Headlamp. There is no electricity at Burot beach so we had to be resourceful that night. I borrowed this headlamp and I kept on calling it headlight. Lol.

 

4. Snapped a Perfect Jump-shot. I channeled my inner photographer self that day and snapped this perfectly timed jump-shot! I'm so proud of it! Heehee..

5. No Shower for 48 hours. Oh yes, you read that right! I did not shower for more than 48 hours because the beach doesn't have fresh water. I just enjoyed the ocean and applied a lot of conditioner for the sake of my re-bonded hair. I am not that proud of this one though. Haha.

So those are my firsts for that memorable weekend of mine. I definitely had so much fun and met a lot of awesome new people! I am already looking forward to my next hiking and camping experience.
