Instagrammable Eats: Outback Steakhouse Libis Experience

Being steak lovers, it's a dream come true for me and my better half to finally dine at Outback Steakhouse. We've been planning to try it but the steep pricing is setting us back. One afternoon we just decided to go for it and we enjoyed every bit of the experience.

As for the interior, the place reminds me so much of True Blood's Merlotte's Bar and Grill. From the booth to the wooden furnishing, it's amazing that they integrated foreign atmosphere for the whole customer's experience.

Upon ordering, they gave us this complimentary french bread with a white butter dip. The texture is so soft and the bread is so yummy.

(L-R)Sparkling Citrus Cooler(Php165); Cherry Limeade (Php 165)

We entered knowing all about the food that we're about to order but we're not prepared about the drinks. They recommended these non-alcoholic version of Sparkling Citrus Cooler and Cherry Limeade. Refreshing!

Sparkling Citrus Cooler

 Baby Back Ribs (Php 669)
I ordered this Baby Back Ribs because I saw reviews online and craved for it. It was fine but I think it's not worth it for Php 700. I had other Baby Back Ribs similar to this one selling for half of this one's price.

8 oz. Wood-fired Outback Special Sirloin in medium rare (Php 999)

BEST STEAK WE'VE EVER TASTED (so far). I regret not ordering this steak or any other steak on the menu. This is by far the BEST (emphasis) steak we've tasted and the highlight of our dining experience on this restaurant.

Chocolate Thunder from Down Under (Php 329)

This Chocolate Thunder from Down Under is described as "the dream of every chocolate lover". I think it's true to its word and it met all our expectations. The whip cream on top is not your ordinary cream. It's sweet and creamy but not overpowering, but what I love most is the texture. The Vanilla ice cream is the usual type you encounter while the brownies is hot and it melts in your mouth. When all three are combined, the taste is phenomenal and you'll surely enjoy each spoonful.

Overall, though this dining experience damaged our wallet, we can say that we enjoyed every bit of the experience. The service was incredibly fast and the crew were so kind and attentive. We're coming back to try out more on their menu!

Instagrammable Eats: Honeybee Patisserie + My "Tauriel" of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug Theory

Last Friday, we decided to eat at Tokyo Bubble Tea Katipunan but the restaurant was fully occupied because it's lunch time already. The waitress then allowed us to sit at Honeybee Patisserie which is a  cafe connected to Bubble Tea. I don't know why but I'm recently interested with the interiors of restaurants. This place particularly caught my attention, so I took pictures even though I'm sick with fever and cold that day.

Awesome right? I adore how the interior designer stand by the theme of "Honeybee". From the ceiling, to the wallpaper, you can feel that you're inside a beehive. I love it!

JCC Black Milk Tea

Salmon Sahimi

Chicken Teriyaki

Spicy Tokyo Maki

To cheer up the sick me, we ordered our all-time favorite JCC Black Milk Tea! Yummiest Milk Tea EVER! For lunch we tried their Salmon Sashimi, Chicken Teriyaki, and Spicy Tokyo Maki. We really loved the Salmon Sashimi because it melts in your mouth and the Salmon is just so fresh (salivating right now). Migs loved the Chicken Teriyaki so much that he broke his own rule of no-rice meals. The Spicy Tokyo Maki could've been much better though.

Last Sunday we watched The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. It was the longest movie I've ever watched on a cinema but it still left me wanting more. I am so happy about the creation of Tauriel's character and I've been raving about it on my Twitter page. Is it just me who noticed that all the characters of the Lord of the Rings saga are men? I've been asking Migs who's a huge fan of LOTR the same question over the years he's watching it over and over again. Yes there's Arwen, Eowyn and Galadriel but other than them, I don't know any more women who played a big role. I think this is the reason why the writers of the movie created Tauriel's character who's not really in The Hobbit book.

Instagrammable Eats: Vanilla Cupcake Bakery

Today, my plan didn't go as expected so I decided to take advantage of where I am and went to Glorietta since I'm not that familiar with this location. I took advantage of the opportunity to explore! So I decided to do some shopping since we already received our 13th month pay. YAY! After shopping, we got curious about this cupcake place called "Vanilla Cupcake Bakery". This bakery will soon have a branch at UP AyalaLand Technohub as well (it's where our office is located).

Upon entering the store, these yummy cupcakes will make you salivate. They have a wide range of variety from red velvet cupcakes, chocolate cupcakes and even salted caramel. The best thing for me about this store is that it's very cozy and the interior is so cute and girly! The wallpapers and chandeliers are very colorful. They even have frames hanging on the wall with thoughtful mottos on them.

Overall, I find this place very #instagrammable. From the interior, food, utensils, to take-out boxes, everything is just so photogenic. Their cupcakes are okay, maybe I can rate it next to Cupcakes by Sonja. I thoroughly enjoyed their Chocolate drinks though. We will come back to try their other food soon.

Instagrammable Eats: House of Lasagna

I posted this photo collage on Instagram a couple of weeks ago. My office mates have been raving for their so-called "best tasting lasagna". So we decided to visit House of Lasagna for our lunch out. House of Lasagna Quezon City branch is located at Cyberpod 2  Building, Eton Centris Walk EDSA corner Quezon Ave., Quezon City.

Beef Lasagna (Php 200) is HoL's best seller and was rated by Spot PH as the #1 Meat Lasagana in the Metro. I tried this one and you can say that I enjoyed each bite. The size is already good for two but we ordered one for each because it is just that good.

"The Stack is a savory combination of a rich, herb-heavy tomato meat sauce between lasagna sheets, covered with a white sauce, and then sprinkled with more of the dried herbs used in the tomato sauce. The result is an intensely aromatic and flavorful pasta dish." - Spot PH

Migs ordered Chicken Lasagna (Php 200) and was not disappointed. If you don't like beef and you're a chicken lover, this one's for you.

Every meal is served with this refillable basket of garlic bread. The service is quite slow, that takes it about 20-25 minutes for your order to be served. If you're planning on dining here, consider that you have to give it an hour for the whole experience. Overall, if you're a pasta lover you must try this restaurant for the sake of your taste buds.
