Hi there! We're in the middle of the summer season here in the Philippines! THE HEAT!!! That's why I'm searching for products with much much higher SPF and the likes to protect my skin from the rays of the sun. This product caught my attention one time when I was browsing some blogs because of the super duper cutesy packaging and of course the ever promising SPF 21 PA ++.
SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor while PA++ stands for the protection grade of UVA. The more "+" the better UVA protection there is. It is therefore advisable to go for products with the highest PA rating.
I'm a huge BB cream fan. I love The Face Shop's Power Perfection BB Cream so much that I use it almost everyday. It prevents my face from oiling-up and have this lovely dewy finish. It is advisable to use liquid foundations and creams this summer because it is easily blended. Unlike when you use powders and cakes, you end up having white casts when exposed to heat. Now let's see if this cake powder can match my expectations..

LIKES:
- Packaging is really cute!
- Pore-less finish
- light to medium coverage
- SPF 21 PA ++
- Hygienic separate sponge compartment
- Affordable at Php 329
DISLIKES:
- cake-y texture
- staying power isn't great
- only 4 shades available (light, nude beige, honey and natural)
I got my usual shade: Nude Beige
Overall, I would still recommend the Maybelline Clear Smooth Pressed Powder or Foundation over this BB Cake Powder. Though the packaging looks really cute, my T-Zone tends to produce oil after just a couple of hours. Oil-control is a big factor for me specially this summer season when our face tends to oil 10x more.
I'm giving it 7 out of 10. Thoughts? :)
the packaging is so amazing! it's too bad it's not the best product, i cannot stand cakey face products. thanks alot for the review! :)

Thanks for visiting mine as well.. :)
DeleteThe packaging looks really classy. This is something I might buy because of how it will look good on my makeup stash but on second thought the caking part is a turn-off. I'm quite fine with my current BB Cream and then just setting it off with a loose powder. Thanks for the review! :)
