Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm: Everything you asked for in a Matte Lippie!

Revlon Colorburst Matte and Lacquer Balm lip pencils aren't available here in the Philippines yet. Hopefully, they'll launch it here within the year. I saw it in one of my favorite international beauty blogger's post and lusted for months until my friend asked me if I wanted to purchase one from her friend who's coming home for the holidays here in the Philippines. I bought two of course!:)

The packaging resembles its predecessor Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain which is the second product I reviewed in this blog! Can you believe it's more than a year since I posted it? The collection was a total big hit and a lot of lippie lovers were raving about it. I think that's why they made a matte and lacquer version.

I searched for shades that matches my taste and decided to get the 'Elusive' and 'Unapologetic' from the Matte Balm collection. I saw 'Elusive' as a nude shade with a hint of Barbie-ish pink while 'Unapologetic' is really unapologetic for being loud and striking!

Once applied, the matte formulation is not what you expect it. It is non-drying and easy to apply unlike other matte lipsticks. The signature minty scent is still there and the color payoff is exactly what's in the tube, Perfect!

My friend's colleague bought it for $9 (Php 400) each. Knowing the market here in the Philippines, I know that they'll ask a lot more than that so be prepared for the financial damage. (Haha!) With the packaging and overall quality, it's a MUST BUY! I can't wait until it's released here. I want to try the other shades as well. I know it will be a big hit once again. :)

  1. I love the elusive...my sister bought her's online (bon marche). I almost bought one for myself but I settled with revlon's balm

  2. It settles on the lines of my lips, and I find that the Revlon Just Bitten ones are better. It looks better if I put a balm underneath.

    1. I have to agree that Revlon Just Bitten's formulation is better but these are gems too. :)
