I recently blogged about my haul which included Mac Matte Lipstick in Please Me. I mentioned that it has been on my list for quite some time and was still deciding if I should purchase it. It's because I have a slightly similar shade which is Mac Chatterbox. But since I abused Chatterbox and used it almost everyday, I now have no excuse not to buy and try this one out. Mac Please Me is described as a mid-tone warm pink with yellowish undertones. Blue and Yellow undertones best complements my fair skin tone.
What I like about this product is that it's one of the permanent shades. It is not limited so you can purchase it anytime on your local MAC counters. The staying power is also great. Since the shade is in matte, it lasts a good four to five hours on my lips and even leaves a good stain even after a meal. It also glides smoothly during application and has a good color payoff. This is a great shade that you can wear everyday without looking too loud. It's actually my "almost" MLBB (My Lips But Better) shade which makes my pink blush more noticeable.

The only thing that bothers me is that the formula is drying. I unfortunately experienced chapping after my first swipe. I learned that you have to apply a lip balm first before using it. Be sure to exfoliate as well. It settles on the line too! The formula of this lippie is in matte so it settles on the line after eating or drinking something.

Compared to Mac Chatterbox, Mac Please Me is a tad lighter. In terms of formula Chatterbox is way better than Please Me. Chatterbox came from the Amplified Creme collection that makes the formula creamier, while Please Me is matte with a bit of sheer that makes it semi-matte.
Overall, Mac Please Me is a great pink shade that complements every skin tone. I now have a lippie to substitute my abused one. If your lips are dry, skip this and go for Mac Chatterbox instead. It may be a tad darker but the formula is better.
Enjoy the week ahead! :)

DeleteHi Krisella,
ReplyDeleteWhat I like most about this lipstick is it lasts on my lips for 4 to 5 hours, without retouch! By the way, I usually buy my MAC lipsticks at Kallony.
I agree! Thanks for the suggestion Pauline.. :)
