Belo Kojic Acid + Tranexamic Acid Intense Whitening Bar Review + Pictures

To be honest, 80% of this blog's views comes from my reviews about whitening soaps. I am not sure why or how those reviews got way too many hits that I am receiving a comment for approval almost every other day. Then it hit me: We Filipinas are really obsessed with having fair skin. Having a fair skin is like being fat or thin here in the Philippines. When you have a family gathering, people will always notice how fair your skin is now compared to the last time they saw you. It's in our culture that we find people with fairer skin more attractive. That was just an epiphany for me before I write yet another review for a whitening product. Ironic, yes.

If you're not familiar with this brand then you're not from the Philippines. Belo is the most-advertised and acclaimed beautifying company in this country. You can see a lot of top endorsers posing for this brand along EDSA to SLEX. Every single day, you'll hear TV hosts thanking Belo for their physical appearance. Heck, they even made a new word -- BELOfied.

Finally, I have tried Sample Room! I had that 100 points in my account since I signed up and I found the product that I want to review in the form of this Belo soap. I got really curious with the mix of Kojic Acid and Tranexamic acid. I was like - "What the hell's a tranexamic acid?", and google answered it for me. To make the long story short, it's like glutathione but cheaper.

What I like about this product is that it doesn't have any scent. It's also affordable for just less than Php 60. The lowdown though is that it melts too quick than a normal Kojic soap. I can safely say that it does whiten. I started using this soap the day I came back from my hiking trip and it successfully revived a shade of my skin.

Overall, I don't have that strong opinion for this soap. Will I buy it again? Honestly, no I can't see myself being attached to this product since it melts too easily. I am still using Kojie San and this is not the soap that will replace it. If you're still curious and want to try this soap, you can click the link below to purchase it online via Lazada:

  1. I actually been contemplating to try any Belo products, but I've heard that it doesn't work as good as other cheaper products. A lot of people prefer Kojie San actually. =D It's so hard to find a really good whitening soap, but nothing works on me haha, maybe because I was born white anyways lol. I wanted to use it to even out my skintone in some area. Hopefully I'll find a really good one! Thanks for the review Krisella! <3

Take care always, love Christine ~ xx

  3. I have been using this soap for more than a week now. Mukhang effective naman, as I can see changes sa complexion ko. The thing is, ang bilis niya nga mag melt. Naka-dalawang soap na ako in less than 2 weeks. Blah!
