My Inglot Freedom System Blush + Eyeshadow Palette

I first read about Inglot at Temptalia over a year ago. A lot of her readers and other bloggers were raving about their eyeshadows and the "Freedom System". Now that I've tried them, I can see why. It is my first time to create my very own palette and I thank Ms. Sara for helping me out. She invited me to visit the Inglot store at Glorietta 5 last June 12 since they were having a 10% Off for their Freedom System in commemoration of Independence Day.

My initial plan was to get a Freedom System Blush + Eyeshadow Palette with my choice of concealer, an eyeshadow, a brow powder, and a blush. I ended up with a lipstick rather than a concealer because their lipstick shades are amazing! This was the first time I broke my promise to not purchase another lipstick until next year because I have waaaaay too many new MAC lippies. But it's: WORTH. IT. (Lol)

So here's my self-made combination of quads in one palette. I got the Lipstick quad in #70, Eyeshadow (Pearl) in #422, Eyeshadow (Matte) in #327, and the Fusion Blush and Illuminator in #203. I chose this pink lipstick shade because I imagine travelling with this palette and being dependent to it, so the shade should be wearable enough to match the others. The eyeshadow shade is good for daily wear for the whole lid. The matte shadow on the other hand is what I've been using for my brows recently, I love using it on my lids too. Fusion Blush and Illuminator is in Inglot's latest blush collection and I love the fact that it's a blush and illuminator in one. I have the option of combining them or using them separately.

SWATCHED (L-R): Lipstick #70 | Eyeshadow (Pearl) #422 | Eyeshadow (Matte) #327 | Fusion Blush #203 | Illuminator #203

Lipstick Quad in #70 is a mauve-pink that is a bit loud and striking. I recommend this shade for fair to medium-to-fair skin tone. I also recommend wearing a really subtle eye makeup and blush to go with this lip color since it will end up contradicting. This shade will not suit people with dark tones, not even to medium tone. On a lighter note, the texture of this lippie is comparable to MAC Amplified cremes which is really creamy and non-drying. The staying power is also amazing which is up to 4-5 hours. It even leaves an even stain after eating or drinking. The finish is semi-matte and the floral scent is not annoying. It's also Paraben free.

Eyeshadow Quad (Pearl) in #422 is not as shimmery as it appears on my swatch. Ms. Sara personally recommended this shade for daily use and it's perfect. I've been using it almost every day since I got it. It tends to get darker on top of my lid primer but nonetheless the quality of this shadow is ace! There's very little fall out if I don't apply primer and it smooths on my lids upon application.

Eyeshadow Quad (Matte) in #327 is a great brow filler that substitutes my In2it brow powder. (My sister took it!) It is great in filling the bald spots in my eyebrows but tends to be too dark on my inner brows. This matte shade is also a great eyeshadow on the lids whenever I want to look more made-up and less shimmery. It's a great component for a professional look.

Fusion Blush and Illuminator #203 is described as a unique blush combining two complementing colors in one. The matte side of the face blush is ideal for defining and sculpting selected parts of the face while the illuminator provides a delicate glow. This is my first matte blush shade since I always go for the shimmery ones and I actually like it better. The shade of this blush adds a subtle glow in my face. It is helpful whenever I decide to wear a loud lipstick since it complements them perfectly without contradicting. The illuminator on the other hand is a great additive of shimmer for the matte blush whenever I'm up for one. I sometimes use it as a highlighter on the center of my lids to complement my eyeshadow.

The Blush + Eyeshadow Palette was initially sold for Php 669 so I was little baffled when I saw the price hike since it is now being sold at Php 889. Other than that, the blushes are still at Php 595 and all the quads are still at Php 375. Good thing I availed the 10% Off so it made up for the sudden increase of the palette. Seriously, I can't think about anything negative about my purchase. It's reasonably priced and of high quality. The palette feels so luxurious as well, I don't mind bringing it in my makeup kit every single day. There's a lot of complain about the naming system though. I personally think that it's straightforward and practical since there's too much shades to name in the Freedom system, why not settle for numbers?

Overall, I look at this palette as an investment. It's travel-friendly and it contains almost everything I need in just one container. Inglot Freedom palette is the additional item on my dream vanity kit. I can imagine myself purchasing a 40s eyeshadow palette and filling the whole thing one by one. Thank goodness Inglot is affordable!
