Outfit Post: When in doubt, wear an LBD!

Once again, it's our company's annual Christmas Party and the theme was "Cosmic 80's".
I didn't really follow the theme because: #1 I have no idea what it mean exactly or how it should look like AND how I'd look like; #2 I don't want to purchase clothes that can only be worn once because that's very impractical; #3 I don't know any other occasion when I can wear this dress that Persunmall sent me. So I just followed the fashion rule: "When in doubt, wear an LBD!"

Persunmall Dress | Korean Rose Bag | S and H Shoes

Products Used:
Face: Garnier Light Complete Lightening Cream
The Face Shop Power Perfection BB Cream + MAC Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation
Cheeks: Majolica Majorca Cream De Cheek + ELF Contouring Powder
Brows: In2it Waterproof Brow Powder
Lips: NYX Matte Lip Cream in Tokyo + MAC Matte Lipstick in Please Me

On Migs: Armhand Remojo Suit | Hugo Boss Orange Watch

I took the opportunity to flaunt my insecurities such as my forehead and bowlegs. It felt so good to have the confidence to shine! You see, you don't have to keep yourself from wearing the clothes you like just to hide your insecurities. Flaunt those legs and forehead that you've been hiding for years because what's important is that you're confident in what you're wearing and that you're having fun. :)

What's in my Makeup Kit

It's mid-week again and I just realized this morning that I haven't done any "What's in my bag" post like ever. I just found out that it's such a nice thing to read about a person's personal stuffs because you somewhat know more about them. So here I am sharing a piece of myself.. This is more like a hybrid of "What's in my Makeup Kit"-SLASH-"Makeup Routine".

Face:
1. The Face Shop Power Perfection BB Cream

So those are my trusted face products for my everyday use. I use Pond's as my moisturizer, then I apply The Face Shop's BB cream. I've been using it for almost a year now and I can say that I couldn't ask for more. It's so reliable and easy to use. Before locking my face using Maybelline Cake powder, I first apply this Majolica Majorca cream de cheek for a long lasting pinkish cheek.

Eyes:
2. In2it Waterproof Brow Powder
3. bareMinerals Prime Time
6. Burjois Waterproof eyeliner

My eye makeup takes the longest time of my makeup routine everyday. First, I apply the bareMinerals Prime Time primer to make the eyeshadow color pop out and last long then I apply the Shiseido eyeshadow. I then apply Burjois eyeliner followed by curling my lashes using this Shu Uemura curler. To make the final touches, I use the Daiso mascara and fix my eyebrows using In2it brow powder.

Lips:

This is obviously my favorite part of my makeup routine. Actually, this part of the kit changes like every other day. I change my lippies whenever I feel like it. To moisturize my lips and protect it, I use Maybelline Baby Lips Pink Glow followed by my chosen lippie which is Revlon Balm Stain and for the finishing touch I use Majolica Majoca Gloss.

I hope you enjoyed this post. :)

Current Favorites (July 2013)

Helloo!! Can you believe it's already July? We're on the second half of 2013! Yeah..  Just let that sink in. This year went faster than I thought it would. And because of that I'm trying something new. Monthly "Favorites" post! I had a lot of products to try last month so I thought I might do a post like this one to incorporate the products that I liked but didn't have time to do an individual post. Here you go..

Majolica Majorca Cream De Cheek

Another Majolica Majorca product that I got from The Beauty Junkee's 4th Anniversary Giveaway is to be reviewed today. A nail polish? Nope, It's a blush! Yes, you read it right! I am actually a little bit confused with the packaging but I'll talk more about it later.

Likes:
1. Pigmented. A single drop can cause a serious pigmentation on your cheek!
2. Easy to apply
3. A little goes a long way
4. Long lasting. It lasts for 4 to 5 hours on me.
5. Natural looking leaving a healthy glow!
6. It is not sticky and greasy. This is important during application.
7. No fragrance.
8. Easily available in Majolica Majorca stalls nationwide.
9. Available in different shades: Custard Cream (OR 313), Shell Pink Cream (PK312), Coral Cream (RD 310), Kiichigo/Raspberry Cream (RD411)

Dislikes:
1. Expensive for Php 495
2. Packaging. I have this love and hate relationship with the container. It's really cute and whimsical but it's not very travel friendly. It's glass and I'm always afraid that I might  break it to pieces. Another thing is that I don't think it's that hygienic to dip the brush every now and then to apply it to your cheeks. I mean, I won't mind if it's mascara or lipstick but I'm very particular with my cheeks because it's the most prone for breakouts. Do you agree with me? If not, please enlighten me with your ideas.

Overall, I really love the finish that it brings but I'm worried about the packaging. I really hope they change it. It works for all skin types though and it has matte finish that is not drying.

Majolica Majorca Honey Pump Gloss Neo + OOTD Couple Shirt

I am not a gloss lover not even back in high school. I want my lips fully covered and matte! I remember only having two lip glosses before. I think it was L'oreal and Victoria's Secret that I tried but didn't even finish half of it. This product made me give lip glosses a chance. Let's see..

Last year, I was able to discover Ms. Martha Sta. Barbara's blog - The Beauty Junkee from my professor in college Ms. Sara Garces who's also a beauty blogger herself. I immediately got hooked on reading her posts. I love the products that she reviews as well as those inspiring posts. Last month, she celebrated the 4th anniversary of her blog. She had this giveaway on where you have to say something about your all-time favorite post of her blog then follow and like the sponsors' pages. I immediately had an answer to this one. I remember being so inspired with this post of hers entitled "On Hard Work and Delaying Gratification". It tackles about her experience about delaying gratification and that good things happen to those who wait. I really love this post! It's something I want my children to read someday. I even shared it to Migs and office mates.

Awesome right? Of course my favorite part is having a picture taken with Ms. Martha! Oh My Gosh! She's even prettier in person. I swear I was starstruck! I was so kilig! :) Again, thank you Ms. Martha for this giveaway and for giving us the chance to meet you. You are wonderful.
